The Zoo
Last night was a fantastic time with the family! The Los Angels Zoo had a VIP special event for their Patron circle levels. It was a twilight walking tour and meet and learn about some of their engaging animal residents.
We went to the Amazon rain forest and saw poisonous frogs. ( which an interesting fact are not poisonous at the zoo) they get their poison from their diet. So the Zoo feeds them a special diet so they can be handled and Not poisonous. We saw a Jaguar he was right out in front enjoying a beautiful night sky, however he was not expecting company and got annoyed with us and went sulking into the brush. We tried to see the otters they did not make a show. We saw birds, a peacock and squirrels.
After our leisurely stroll through a few exhibits we then headed over to Reggie’s Bistro for some delicious appetizers, which to us were not appetizers at all but a delicious supper. They had a salad, mashed potatoes, giant meatballs with parmesan cheese, chicken strips, pork in sauce, spinach empanadas, rolls, veggies and dressing. We got free drinks, fruit and cookies for dessert.
After that scrumptious meal we had a animal artistry paint party where the kids or adults could express their creativity. We also got to try our green thumbs by making a succulent planter to take home as a souvenir. So as much fun as this was it was exhausting and We were ready to go home. I want to thank the L.A. Zoo for a wonderful memory with my family. Til next time.
Thank you.
